Litfest

The Storey – is a building development in Lancaster just around the corner from the train station and the picturesque castle (prison).

Lancaster City Council, The Storey Gallery and Litfest have been working on the project for five years now and some days it certainly feels like every single day of it has been spent thinking about some aspect of the project.

Yesterday we finally got around to talking through a lease agreement with the The Storey building’s Board, and early next year all things being equal we will be working in a great new space.

We”ll have a new auditorium space to present our work in and a large office space where we plan to run a poetry bookshop as well.

All of this will be part of a creative industries centre – The Storey. More information at www.thestorey.co.uk.

But before that there’’s still a lot of work to be done – not least by the builders.
