Listen to Joanna read No One Else at Home

From a certain point I seem to be constantly on the move: moving countries, cities, houses. Since 2001 I’ve called eight different houses or flats home.  The atmosphere of the place I’m living in always influence me, so I like to observe how a new house, with all its physical features, shapes our lives and habits, and how repetitions make even the most remarkable things ordinary. This fascination transpires in my writing where in some cases the reader can find – along with genius loci  – the exact addresses. It seems unjust to suck the spirit of a place into a story and then not give it any credit for that.
